I just got back from Scotland with my brother, it was our first trip together in 20 years and it meant a lot to us because we lost our parents in the last few years. At the hotel in Edinburgh he showed me this song and I cry like a kid every time I hear it.

Does anyone know where this was?

The absolute power and magic from these two men is astounding. Ive never heard anyone sing as they do. The hamonies, power and passion with which they sing is epic on all levels and their gitar/instrument skills are unbelievable. Huge respect to Roy and Ronnie from Ireland ☘ Corries forever.

Sadness engulfs me...memories of Sir Walter Scott's poem, even John Graham himself…Lord Claverhouse…a warrior , a Knight, an Scottish nobleman…loyal to his true and law King…winner at Killikrankie….killed in combat by his Scottish blood brothers…not by cruel Englishmen…. It is one of my favourites old folk Scottish tunes and songs…..

I love that. The drums make me have goosebumps on my skin.

Saw them live so many times. The sixties and the seventies were great for real music - didn't appreciate what a wonderful time it was creatively until it was all gone. Corries, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Runrig, etc. Such a pity for today's youngsters, no real music, just posers who can't sing using autotune and other electronic tricks.

Reminds me of Red Point near Port Henderson overlooking the Minch. What a steely grey cold water in the winter. Nobody lives on beautiful Mingulay. Sadly, they've all either been cleared or move on. That's the story of Scotland.
